This may not be of great interest to too many of my readers, but just maybe I'm wrong.
I have been writing my “Whilst Out Walking” newsletter for over a couple of years now, on the theme of wildlife, plants, all things natural that we might encounter in our gardens, nearby parks and along roadsides in the communities where we live. Nature on the doorstep. It has garnered a solid, growing and gratifyingly constant following, but occasionally there are things I want to write about which do not fit within the remit that I have set for the newsletter, and so I'm considering opening an occasional, parallel but quite separate Substack to deploy on those occasions when I have something to say or something to show on topics other than natural history. No compulsion to join if you are not interested.
I imagine using it to share some photographs, perhaps make a few book recommendations, a bit of this, that and the other. Undoubtedly there will be links to articles that have crossed my path that I think you'll enjoy reading. The idea is to have a little side project where I can explore different interests and share my other passions with you all - and sometimes get a few things off my chest while at it.
But all such ventures have to start with a title. This is where I wonder if you would help me. I have come up with three possibilities (assuming nobody else on the internet has already claimed them) and these are they in order of preference. Let me know what you think, or if something else occurs to you.
Getting Sidetracked
Sidewalks
Walking Around
Or … ?
You can see the walking thing is continued. Looking forward to hearing from you.
I like the double meaning of Sidewalks.
Sounds like a good idea. Getting sidetracked is good - happens to me a lot! Optional is good too.
