Looking for a photograph to illustrate an article elsewhere, I happened upon this image from last spring. Something to look forward to as the snow falls and the winds blow.
As much as I like to imagine having wings to soar away with, imagine what it would be like to have feet and legs like this!!! That would be another kind of magic!
Since we have lived here ( 13 years this spring) the rose breasted gross beaks have shown up every year on mother’s day. They stay for a week or two and move north. They males are as sticking to me as scarlet tanagers.
