Barred Owl

Photographed locally - there is a lot of very desirable wildlife just down the road from suburbia.
(Note: This being an owl, happened upon by chance as is usually the case, I sat on the image for a while before sharing it - these birds are photographers’ magnets and have a hard enough time of it as it is without being harassed by too many people all at once. If you find an owl, please do the same and avoid announcing its whereabouts immediately. Birders’ Code of Ethics).

Beautiful image, Richard. I do the same these days with images of owls. I like to wait a week or more before posting and not give specific locations.
