Firstly … this tempting trail called to us and was explored when we were last on the west coast of Scotland.
This side of the Atlantic, however, it has been unremittingly wet this weekend. Consequently the walking was limited to turn about the garden, protecting the camera from the rain. The blossom is Amelanchier canadensis and the blue flowers are Pulmonaria … which provide very nice colour at this time of the year but later are just clumps of spotty leaves. The blue flowers are rather popular with early bumble bees.
