Perched on the throne

If you are a subscriber and receive new posts by email, you will see that the green walking man in the header graphic has taken on the colours of the Liberal Party of Canada until the election on 28 April. That’s all though - back to green afterwards 🙂

Black-phase Grey Squirrel watching the world go by from his perch on top of our biggest ant nest. We have always had a good presence of ants in the garden, going about their lives quietly and causing no trouble … in fact doing good, as they are an important vector for the distribution of snowdrop seeds and the slow spread of the delightful flowers. This nest is amazing - it started rising from the earth two or three years ago and is slowly taking over.
