The tree he is drying off in after a splash is an Amelanchier canadensis - had he held off arriving a couple more days he would have been surrounded by glorious blossom.
So sweet, and such fantastic shots! I like the one where it looks like he's inspecting his toenails. It's always such a thrill to see them flitting about again. We saw a lifer today. A hooded warbler. All the birders in Ottawa are flocking to see it.
