Weed Control
4 May
Our wild garden at this time of year has a lot of Pulmonaria in it. Nice as the purple and pink flowers are, despite it being non-native, and very supportive of early bumble bees in particular, there are times when you can have too much of a good thing. Enter stage left, our friends the local Marmottes who just love the stuff and move through the patches ignoring all the other greenery.

I'd like to hire your marmot gardeners.
I believe your living weed control is a groundhog and not a marmot. Marmots live at higher elevations and their range doesn’t extend to this part of Canada. The French word for groundhog is marmotte. Very nice pictures though.
